The Software as a Service-The Software as a Service (SaaS) consists in proposing a subscription to a software rather than a license to buy. With SaaS, the software is rented rather than purchased. Then, the user rents the software and pay only a right to use it associated with a range of services.

The SaaS model aims at developing a "mass customization" that meets both the requirements of cost and quality while allowing the user to adapt to its own context. The user or client has to stop using the software when the subscription period expires.

SaaS: A beneficial solution for the user? - The SaaS is a model in which the provider assumes the costs of maintenance and security and pools the resources to all his customers.  He is in charge of maintenance, operation and application hosting.

Then, on the user side, payment for consumption seems to be a means to optimize costs. In a word, the user accesses his information regardless of where or how.
